The maps linked below define the walk zones for each school in the district. Pursuant to OAR 581-023-0040 and ORS 327.043, bus service to and from school is not provided for students residing in a walk zone. Please contact the transportation department with any questions.
Upon completion of the Sherwood Pedestrian Bridge, more of our students will have a safe walkable route to school. As a reminder, this will change our bus routes. Bus route and walk zone rules are set by the state of Oregon and include students within a 1.5 mile distance from the school with a few hazard exceptions noted below.
Hazard Zones
1. Areas without sidewalks
2. Rural areas that are faster than 35 mph or have more than 2 lanes of traffic
3. Railroad crossings
4. Areas with less than 300 feet of sight line
