Sherwood School District will be practicing earthquake safety again this year in The Great Oregon ShakeOut. Staff and students in all schools will join thousands of Oregonians in the annual earthquake drill event. The ShakeOut drill will occur in houses, businesses, and public spaces throughout Oregon at exactly 10:20 a.m. on October 20, 2016. (Some Sherwood schools may also conduct an evacuation drill immediately following the earthquake drill.) The purpose of the ShakeOut is to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes, and to get prepared at work, school and home. Everyone can participate!
