Sherwood High School Welcomes New Associate Principal

Sherwood School District is pleased to announce Mike Stead as the new Associate Principal at Sherwood High School. Mr. Stead is currently an Associate Principal at Oregon City High School. He will assume his new role on July 1, 2022, following the end of the interim position held by Teresa Swake.   

When asked about joining the Sherwood School District, Mr. Stead noted “I am thrilled to be joining the staff at Sherwood High School. I really look forward to meeting our students, staff, and community soon. Go Bowmen!” 

Mr. Stead earned his Bachelor’s degree from Linfield University, and his Master’s degree and administrative license from Portland State University. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mr. Stead taught math, social studies, and college/career readiness courses in Reynolds and North Clackamas School Districts and was a College and Career Coordinator in the Tigard-Tualatin School District. Mr. Stead currently resides in Gladstone with his wife and six year old son.

“We feel very fortunate to add Mike Stead to our school leadership team. His strong instructional background and passion for building meaningful relationships will strengthen the great work already being done at Sherwood High School,” said Adam Mitchell, Sherwood High School Principal.
