Amanda Hollenberg, Executive Director of Human Resources

Amanda Hollenberg, current Director of Curriculum and Instruction, has been selected as the District’s next Executive Director of Human Resources, due to the retirement of current Executive Director Steve Emmert. As part of the transition plan for this position, Ms. Hollenberg will work half-time in the position for the 2024-25 school year starting July 1, 2024, alongside current Executive Director Steve Emmert who will also work half-time, before Amanda takes on the role full-time in the 2025-26 school year.

Ms. Hollenberg started her career in 2003 in the southern Willamette Valley as a fifth grade teacher, and over the course of her career has worked in multiple districts in a variety of roles, including both Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at the middle school level. She served as the Principal of Edy Ridge Elementary in Sherwood for three years prior to joining the District Office as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in 2018.

When asked about her new role, Ms. Hollenberg shared, “Accepting the role of the next HR Director in the Sherwood School District is not just a job, but a commitment to serving our remarkable and dedicated staff and community. It’s a privilege to contribute to such a special place and I am truly honored and excited to begin. We have an extremely strong team of educators and support staff, and I look forward to continuing supporting the great work our team does each and every day for all of our students here in Sherwood”.

Mili Wilkinson and Patrick Shuckerow, Directors of Curriculum and Instruction

Mili Wilkinson and Patrick Shuckerow have been selected as the next Directors of Curriculum and Instruction in the Teaching & Learning Department beginning July 1, 2024. They will be filling the positions vacated due to the retirement of current Director Penny Salm and the transition of current Director Amanda Hollenberg to the Human Resources Department.

Ms. Wilkinson started her education career as a fifth grade teacher at Middleton Elementary in 2006. She later served as an Instructional Coach at Edy Ridge Elementary for three years before being selected as the Dean of Students for Laurel Ridge Middle School in 2018. Later that year, Ms. Wilkinson stepped into the role of Associate Principal at Laurel Ridge, and remained in that role at Sherwood Middle School when the District’s two middle schools merged in 2020. She rejoined Middleton Elementary as Principal in 2022.

“I am honored to serve the Sherwood School District in this new role and look forward to partnering with students and staff across the district,” shared Ms. Wilkinson about her new role. “Although I will definitely miss the Middleton community, I am excited to collaborate with our dedicated team to provide dynamic learning experiences that empower our students to thrive academically and personally.”

Mr. Shuckerow started in his current role as Principal of Archer Glen Elementary in 2021, and prior to that served as Principal of Forest Hills Elementary in Lake Oswego for three years. He also worked an additional 11 years in the Sherwood School District in a number of roles, including 3rd grade teacher, an instructional coach, and a district-level administrator.

When asked about his new role in the District, Mr. Shuckerow noted, “I have loved my time at Archer Glen and will miss it greatly, but I know the Teaching & Learning team and how much they care about our work. I’m excited to be a part of that incredible team and grateful for the opportunity to serve our wonderful schools.”

Andy Van Fleet, Sherwood Middle School Principal

Andy Van Fleet has been selected as the next Principal at Sherwood Middle school effective July 1, 2024, and will fill the vacancy following the retirement of current SMS Principal Marianne Funderhide.

He attended Oregon State University, Pacific University, and Lewis and Clark for his administrator program.

When asked for his thoughts on joining the District, Mr. Van Fleet shared, “I’m thrilled to join the Sherwood family of educators and to serve the community in which I live and love.  My daughters have grown strong roots in this community, and the educators have given them wings to soar!  I look forward to the challenges ahead and even more to the celebrations beyond them!  To those many souls who have already reached out and welcomed me into this family, THANK YOU!”

Sarah Woofter, Archer Glen Elementary Principal

Sarah Woofter has been selected as the next Principal at Archer Glen Elementary effective July 1, 2024, and will fill the vacancy following current Principal Patrick Shuckerow’s transition to his new role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Over the past year, Ms. Edinger has served as the Assistant Principal at Boeckman Creek Primary School in Wilsonville.

Mr. Jebens began his career in pupil transportation in 2004 as a school bus driver for the Hillsboro School District, and became a state-certified classroom and “behind-the-wheel” trainer in 2006.
