The budget committee consists of five members appointed by the Board, plus the elected Board members. The committee has the responsibility for reviewing the financial program of the district, reviewing the proposed district budget as presented by the superintendent, and recommending an annual or biennial district budget in keeping with the provisions of applicable state laws.

Now Accepting Applications – 2023-24 Budget Committee Vacancies

Each year, the Board of Directors is tasked with appointing members to the Sherwood School District Budget Committee as vacancies arise (due to the expiration of previous terms). For the 2023-24 school year, the Board is seeking qualified applicants to fill two vacancies on the Budget Committee.

Budget Committee positions #1 and #4 are open due to the expiration of the terms of Nicole Brutosky and Ryan Dunlap. These positions have a three-year term, which will expire June 30, 2026. Applications from interested parties must be turned in by Wednesday, October 11, in order to be considered.  The Board will appoint the new members at its October business meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
