The District Health Committee has developed a K-12 Comprehensive Health Plan of Instruction.  This plan makes it possible for families to get an overview of health education in our schools, as well as access materials related to comprehensive sexual education.  This provides families with the opportunity to preview standards and topics for comprehensive sexual education prior to instruction occurring, which will allow families to have conversations with their students about sensitive topics prior to class, as well as opt out of specific lessons if they choose to do so.  This plan also clarifies the opt out process and makes it easy and accessible for families. It is a requirement under Oregon law that Districts teach the standards set forth in this plan.
