Elementary Summer Learning Academy
Limited space is available in this year’s foundational reading support and reinforcement classes.
This two week (10-day) program, taught by Sherwood teachers, is intended to serve our elementary students who would benefit from targeted support in the areas of reading and writing in a fun, more relaxed school setting. The reading skills development classes will be offered to any current Kindergarten-4th grade student who does not yet demonstrate reading proficiency at his or her grade level. Lessons will reinforce students’ knowledge while preparing them for the next step in their reading journey.
This class is intended for students who are not yet or have just begun to read at their current grade level. These classes are not appropriate for students who are currently reading above grade level.
Registration is now closed. If you are interested in having your child placed on a waiting list, please contact the program coordinator directly at nstauffer@sherwood.k12.or.us.
