Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Sherwood School District. The time our parents and community members devote to our schools is what helps make our district great. Sherwood School District welcomes volunteers for the 2023-2024 school year.
To learn about specific volunteer opportunities or needs, please see the following list of current volunteer openings or get involved in one of our parent groups (see links at bottom of page). All volunteers in the Sherwood School District must complete the Background Check process outlined below and be cleared prior to starting.

Background Check Forms
Every volunteer in Sherwood School District must have a criminal background check completed each school year. It can take 7-10 business days to complete the process, so if you would like to volunteer for a specific event or date, please plan ahead!
You only need to submit your information one time per school year. Once it has cleared, your name will be added to the master list for all locations.
If you would like to volunteer, please complete the electronic volunteer background check form linked below.
Please only submit a background check once – it costs money for each submission, even if the person has already been approved.
Please note all volunteers will need to complete SB 155 training. This training is also linked in the volunteer background check forms above.
Please contact Human Resources with any questions.
Parent Groups
Our school parent groups (PACs/PSOs) regularly seek volunteers to assist with school events, activities, fundraisers, etc. For more information about the volunteer needs of each school’s parent group, please see the links below.
