Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Sherwood School District. The time our parents and community members devote to our schools is what helps make our district great. Sherwood School District welcomes volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year.

Every volunteer in Sherwood School District must have a criminal background check completed each school year. It can take 7-10 business days to complete the process, so if you would like to volunteer for a specific event or date, please plan ahead! Please note that volunteer background checks for the 2022-23 school year will close on June 5, 2023.

You only need to submit your information one time per year. Once it has cleared, your name will be added to the master list for all locations.

As per Governor Brown’s mandate, all volunteers are still required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exception on file prior to volunteering through the end of the 2022-23 school year. Please work with the school office staff to verify vaccination status or request an exception.

To learn about specific volunteer opportunities and needs, please contact one of our schools, or get involved in one of our parent groups (see links below).

Background Check Forms

If you would like to volunteer, please complete the electronic volunteer background check form.

Please only submit a background check once – it costs money for each submission, even if the person has already been approved.

Please note all volunteers will need to complete SB 155 training. This training is also linked in the volunteer background check forms above.

Please contact Human Resources with any questions.
