The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) released report cards last week for K-12 schools across the state, evaluating their performances for the 2016-17 school year. Sherwood schools generally received high marks.
The ODE also released data of comparison schools, that is, schools with demographics similar to Sherwood School District schools. The District had higher rates of students meeting College and Career Readiness benchmarks on the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) than the state average in all subjects and grade levels. The district also compared favorably to its comparison schools which are some of the highest performing schools in the state.
