As you have likely heard, there was a police incident north of The Ridges campus today. Students were dismissed on time. The district office learned of this incident about 3:05 after students were dismissed. Some buses were delayed due to road closures and returned to schools. Students on those buses were held inside the school, their parents were notified, and school doors were locked until the incident was resolved. It was incorrectly reported by various media outlets that Laurel Ridge Middle School was in lockout.
