UPDATED July 21, 2021: The ThoughtExchange platform is now closed. Please click here for more information and to complete the new follow-up survey.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT: On June 25, the Oregon Department of Education released the Ready Schools, Safe Learners Resiliency Framework for the 2021-22 School Year. This document replaces the previous versions of the Ready Schools, Safe Learners guidance, and includes a change for many previously required health and safety strategies to an advisory status. As our district prepares to return to full-time, daily in-person instruction at all grades PreK-12 in the upcoming school year, we want the input of our stakeholders on these recommendations.
To provide feedback on this topic, we are offering the opportunity for our stakeholders to use a platform called ThoughtExchange. Unlike a traditional survey, ThoughtExchange allows participants to share their own unique thoughts, questions, and concerns, which are then reviewed and rated by other participants. All feedback is confidential, as is the ability to respond to the feedback of other participants. As individuals rate or respond to the feedback of others, the district will be able to determine which feedback items are of the highest priority to stakeholders. We believe that this format will allow for a broader dialogue within our SSD community, with the ability for more points of view to be part of the discussion.
To participate in this feedback opportunity, please review the Ready Schools, Safe Learners Resiliency Framework, including the “Advisory Health and Safety Strategies (starting on page 12). Next, visit https://tejoin.com/scroll/947504903, complete the two demographic survey questions, and then add your thoughts, questions, or concerns to the conversation. You can then return to the platform throughout this week to review, rate, and respond to feedback from other participants. We will be accepting feedback through Monday, July 26, (Please see update above) and will share the findings of this feedback with our Board of Directors in a work session on Wednesday, July 28. Additional feedback opportunities will be provided at a future time.
