Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program – Upcoming Event!

You are welcome to join us on Wednesday, April 9th for a DLI Interest & Showcase Night starting at 5pm. The “interest” portion of the evening is from 5:00-5:30. This portion will be both informative and interactive for our families who are curious about the program (bring your incoming kinder student!).

The “showcase” will run from 5:30-6:30pm in our cafeteria/commons area and will give families a glimpse into the DLI program from K-4th grades.

Dual Language Immersion (DLI) at Hawks View Elementary

The Sherwood School District is excited to continue our Spanish/English Dual Language Immersion Program for the 2025-26 school year. We are in our sixth year of the program, and have classes in Kindergarten – Fifth grade. A Dual Language Immersion Program has the goal of promoting bilingualism, bi-literacy, and socio-cultural competence.

Applications for each year’s new Kindergarten class as well as any other grade openings are accepted each spring. If you applied last year, you will remain on the waiting list and do not need to re-apply.
