Committee members must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a resident within the Sherwood School District boundary
  • Identify with one or more of the seven (7) representative stakeholder categories (listed below and on the application)

The Committee membership is desired to include representative stakeholder groups: 

  • Owner or manager of a local business located in Sherwood, representing the business community
  • At least one member serving in an occupation with construction expertise
  • At least one member serving in an occupation with technology expertise
  • Parent with student(s) currently attending Sherwood Schools at the elementary level
  • Parent with student(s) currently attending Sherwood Schools at the middle school level
  • Parent with student(s) currently attending Sherwood Schools at the high school level
  • Resident and representative of the Sherwood community at large

 Employees or officials of the school district, or any paid vendor, contractor, or consultant of the school district, are ineligible to be a member of the Bond Oversight Committee.  Committee members are subject to conflict of interest requirements as set forth by state law.  Should a Bond Oversight Committee member, after being selected for the committee, later become an employee, official or paid vendor, contractor, or consultant of the school district, that individual will no longer be eligible to serve on the Bond Oversight Committee.

Cornerstone Management Group, Inc. (the District’s owner’s representative), the SSD Chief Operations Officer, and other necessary District staff will support the work of the Bond Oversight Committee.  This will include providing materials and reports, answering questions, and meeting logistical support.
